What it is
SnapServe turns a photo of a paper menu — or a product sheet, or a PDF — into a live, orderable online store with WhatsApp checkout, in about 60 seconds. No typing.
The problem
The WhatsApp-ordering space is crowded, and every tool shares the same friction: you have to type your whole menu in by hand before anything works. Setting up a 40-item menu is an hour of data entry — which is exactly why so many small vendors start onboarding and never finish.
What we built
SnapServe inverts the setup. The very first action is take a photo. The AI does the data entry.
A vendor photographs their menu; every item, price and section is read automatically; a quick review grid lets them confirm anything uncertain — a low-confidence price gets a one-tap check — and then one tap publishes a live storefront with its own link and QR code. A customer browses that store, adds items, and checks out; the order arrives as a pre-filled WhatsApp message and on the vendor's order board. Cash or bank transfer works from day one — no card gateway to set up.
How it works
- Photograph the menu. One or more photos of the paper menu, price list or PDF.
- The AI reads it. Item names, prices, sections and options are extracted automatically.
- Confirm. A fast review grid; uncertain prices are flagged for a one-tap check.
- Publish. A live storefront URL and a QR code for table ordering.
- Take orders. Customers order through the store; each order lands on WhatsApp and the vendor's order board.
Who it's for
The millions of small food and retail businesses across South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and South-East Asia that have a paper menu and a WhatsApp number but no website — and the resellers and agencies that serve them, through a white-label platform.
What's inside
- AI menu scan with price-confidence checks before anything goes live
- An installable storefront that stays fast on cheap phones and flaky connections
- QR-code entry for dine-in and table ordering
- WhatsApp checkout, with automated order confirmations as an optional upgrade
- Multi-currency browsing and multi-language, right-to-left storefronts
- Per-vendor branding and a theme library
- One order board across web and WhatsApp orders
Outcome
SnapServe makes onboarding the product. A vendor goes from paper to a shareable store link before a competitor's setup form has finished asking for their address.
